Non-Oil Exports from Iran’s Markazi Customs Up 54% in 2 Months: Official
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The director general of the customs offices of Iran’s Markazi Province said that export of non-oil goods from this province in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20 to May 20, 2024) registered a 54 and a 37 percent hike in value and weight respectively
Some 316,000 tons of non-oil goods, valued at $214 million, were exported from the customs offices of Markazi province to 62 countries in this period, Rouhollah Gholami said.
Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were the first to fifth export target markets of this province in the first two months of the current Persian calendar year, he stated.
In this timespan, various types of hydrocarbons, liquified gas, polyethylene, industrial lubricants, aluminum cans, glassware, plastic and dairy products, were exported from this province overseas, Gholami continued.
He further pointed out that 39,000 tons of goods, valued at $102 million, were imported into this province from 33 countries between March 20 and May 20, 2024.
These products were imported into the province from the United Arab Emirates, China, Turkey, Qatar and Germany, he added.
