Persepolis coach Garrido Arrives in Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Juan Carlos Garrido Fernandez arrived in Tehran, the capital of Iran, on Saturday morning.

The 55-year-old coach has penned a one-year deal with Persepolis.

Garrido has most recently worked as head coach of the Algerian team USM Alger.

He has traveled to Tehran along with his Spanish assistant.

The Spanish coach has replaced Brazilian coach Osmar Loss, who led Persepolis to title in the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL).

Garrido has served as head coach in Real Betis, Club Brugge, UAE’s Al Ain, Egyptian club Ismaily Sporting Club, Morocco’s Wydad, and USM Alger of Algeria.
