Yemen’s Army Declares Tel Aviv ‘Hit Zone’

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Yemeni Armed Forces have extended their support for Gaza by launching a successful drone strike against Tel Aviv, declaring the tourist and economic hub of the Israeli regime a hit zone.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Friday a successful drone strike targeting a significant site in Tel Aviv in occupied Palestine, in continuation of their operations in support of Gaza.

The operation was conducted by the newly developed “Yafa” drone, YAF Spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree said on Friday.

The drone is named after the Palestinian city occupied by the Israeli regime as part of greater Tel Aviv, Al Mayadeen reported.

The UAV is designed with the specific aim of evading enemy radars and interception systems, Saree said.

The drone has reportedly reached its target and achieved the operational objectives.

The statement emphasized that the Yemeni Armed Forces now consider the area of Tel Aviv to be a strike zone and a primary target for future operations.

Saree declared the YAF's intent to continue focusing on strategic strikes against the Israeli occupation's internal front, aiming to reach deep within its territory.

The spokesperson also noted that the Yemeni Armed Forces have a data bank of targets inside the occupied Palestinian territories, including sensitive military and security Israeli sites.

Saree vowed that the Yemeni forces will continue their operations against these targets in retaliation for the Israeli regime’s daily crimes and massacres against Palestinians in Gaza.

The statement further affirmed the YAF's commitment to supporting the heroic resistance of people in Gaza, who are defending the Arab and Islamic world, asserting that the YAF's operations would persist until the aggression on Gaza ceases and the siege on the Palestinian people there is lifted.

The Israeli military said it had opened an investigation into the large explosion near the United States embassy office in Tel Aviv and would determine why the Zionist regime’s air defense systems were not activated to intercept the “aerial target”.

Footage from the site of the blast showed broken glass strewn across pavements as crowds of onlookers gathered near a building bearing blast marks. The site was sealed off by police tape, according to Al Jazeera.

The Yemeni forces have repeatedly launched drones and missiles towards the Israeli targets and at Israeli-linked shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden in a show of support for Palestinians amid Israel’s war on Gaza.
