IRGC Enhances Naval Power with New Missile, Drone Deployments

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) integrated 2,640 missile systems, drones, and other combat equipment into its naval forces, with a focus on advanced cruise missiles capable of significant damage.

In a ceremony overseen by the IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami, the IRGC Navy added 2,640 missile systems, drones, and other equipment to its combat units.

This integration includes a range of long-range and medium-range missile systems, combat drones, reconnaissance and Strike Drones, electronic warfare systems, and naval radars.

Of the 2,640 systems integrated, only 210 were displayed during the ceremony.

Notably, the cruise missiles incorporated are designed with new capabilities, including high-explosive warheads and stealth features, making them undetectable to enemy radars.

These missiles are capable of inflicting severe damage and sinking enemy destroyers, representing some of the most advanced surface and subsurface weapons in the IRGC Navy's arsenal.
