Iran's Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Cooperation with PGCC Chief

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi held a phone call with PGCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

During the conversation, Al-Budaiwi congratulated Araqchi for his appointed as Iran's new Foreign Minister and highlighted the critical role of Islamic Republic of Iran in fostering peace and stability in the region.

He noted that Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) members are eager to consult and engage with Iran on addressing major regional challenges.

In response, Araqchi expressed gratitude for Al-Budaiwi's congratulations and reaffirmed Iran's interest in deepening its friendly and brotherly ties with the PGCC and its member states.

Araqchi also stressed that relations between Iran and the PGCC should enter a new phase characterized by mutual understanding and cooperation.
