Iran’s Athlete Mokhtari Seizes Silver at 2024 Paralympic Games


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian thrower Alireza Mokhtari won a silver medal in the 2024 Paralympic Games on Sunday.

Mokhtari came second with a throw of 8.69 meters in the Men's Shot Put - F53.

Moroccan thrower Abdelillah Gani won the gold medal with 9.22 and Poland’s Bartosz Gorczak claimed the bronze with an 8.41 throw.

Athletics at the 2024 Summer Paralympics take place at Stade de France in Paris.

Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
