2024 Paralympic Games: Iran’s Taekwondo Athletes Win Bronzes
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian taekwondo athletes Alireza Bakht and Hamed Haghshenas won two bronze medals in the 2024 Paralympic Games on Saturday.
Bakht defeated Nikola Spajić of Serbia 29-6 in the K44 -80kg bronze medal match.
Haghshenas also beat Kazakhstan’s Nyshan Omirali 16-14 to win the second bronze.
Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
The Paris 2024 Paralympics kicked off with the Opening Ceremony on August 29 while the Closing Ceremony will bring proceedings to an end on September 9.
