Pirouj Wins Silver in Paralympics Javelin


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian athlete Ali Pirouj won a silver medal in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris on Thursday.

Pirouj threw 69.74 meters to win a silver medal in the men’s javelin throw -F13 class.

Daniel Pembroke from Britain snatched the gold with a throw of 74.49 and Cuban Ulicer Aguilera Cruz won a bronze medal with 62.51 meters.

Athletics in the 2024 Summer Paralympics take place at Stade de France in Paris.

Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
