Iran’s Non-Oil Trade with OIC Member States Up 15%: IRICA chief

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s export of non-oil products to the member states of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has registered a 15% growth, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said.

Iran’s non-oil trade with the 56 member states of the OIC in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to August 22, 2024) reached $26.7 billion, showing a 15 percent growth compared to the same period last year, Mohammad Rezvanifar stated.

In this period, Iran’s non-oil trade volume with the OIC states stood at 42.3 million tons, registering a 10 percent growth compared to last year’s corresponding period, Rezvanifar added, IRIB reported.

Of total non-oil trade exchanges between Iran and the OIC countries, Iran exported 33.6 million tons of products, valued at $13.5 billion, to these countries, the deputy minister of economy pointed out.

He went on to say that Iran’s export of non-oil goods to the 56 member states of the organization between March 21 to August 22, 2024, showed an 8 and a 16 percent growth in weight and value respectively, compared to the same period last year.
