Aminzadeh Wins Gold at Powerlifting: 2024 Paralympics


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian powerlifter Ahmad Aminzadeh won a gold medal in the 2024 Paralympic Games on Sunday.

He won the gold with 263 kg at the Porte de La Chapelle Arena.

Ukrainian Anton Kriukov seized the silver with 251kg in the weight class and Georgian Akaki Jintcharadze won the bronze by lifting 250kg.

His compatriot Aliakbar Gharibshahi (up to 107kg) had won a gold medal Sunday morning.

Aminzadeh won Iran’s eighth gold in the 2024 Paralympic Games.

Shooter Sareh Javanmardi, shot putter Amirhossein Alipour, javelin thrower Saeid Afrouz, powerlifter Rouhollah Rostami and Aliakbar Gharibshahi, sitting volleyball, and shot putter Yasin Khosravi and had previously won seven gold medals in Paris.
