Iran’s Javeli Thrower Salehi Seizes Bronze at 2024 Paralympics

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Elham Salehi of Iran claimed a bronze medal at the Women’s Javelin Throw – F54 of the 2024 Paralympic Games on Saturday.

She finished in third place with a throw of 16.24 meters.

The event's gold medal was won by Uzbekistan's Nurkhon Kurbanova, with a world record throw of 21.12m.

Nigerian Flora Ugwunwa won the silver medal with 19.26 meters.

Athletics in the 2024 Summer Paralympics take place at Stade de France in Paris.

Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
