No IRGC Force Martyred in Lebanon Pager Blasts
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps denied stories that IRGC forces have been martyred in the explosions of handheld pagers across Lebanon.
Speaking to Tasnim on Wednesday, General Ali Mohammad Naeini denied the rumors spread by a number of media outlets and social media accounts about the martyrdom of IRGC forces in the simultaneous pager explosions across Lebanon.
None of the IRGC forces has been martyred in the recent terrorist attack that took place via pagers, he stated.
At least 12 people were killed -including two children- and some 2,800 others were injured, many of them seriously, after handheld pagers used by the Hezbollah forces exploded in Lebanon on Tuesday.
The New York Times and Reuters news agency, citing unnamed officials, reported that the Israeli regime’s authorities had placed small amounts of explosive material in the pagers.
