Israeli Attack on School Sheltering Displaced Palestinians Kills 22 in Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - At least 22 Palestinians have been killed by an Israeli strike that hit a school sheltering displaced people in Gaza City.
Gaza’s Government Media Office said the Israeli regime committed a “horrific massacre” by bombing the Zeitoun School in the eastern part of Gaza City, adding that 21 people have been confirmed killed.
Those killed include 13 children, six women, and a three-month-old baby.
At least 30 people have been wounded, including several who suffered severe burns. Two people remain missing.
Al-Zeitoun was one of UNRWA schools housing displaced Palestinians, for which coordinates are known to Israel. Yet, it continues to attack them.
The Israeli raids shatter any sense of safety and force people into displacement once again.
An area between Khan Younis and Rafah was also targeted and five employees from the health ministry who were managing a warehouse were killed.
Medical warehouses have come under Israeli attack before. This has happened at al-Shifa Hospital, al-Awda Hospital, the Indonesian Hospital and others. This is partly why there is an acute shortage of supplies in Gaza’s hospitals, Al Jazeera reported.
At least 41,391 Palestinian people have been killed and 95,760 injured in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 2023.
