Bijan Heydari to Officiate Tehran Derby
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Bijan Heydari will officiate the Tehran derby between Esteghlal and Persepolis football teams.
The match is slated for Wednesday in Arak’s Imam Khomeini Stadium.
Heydari, 44, will be assisted by Alireza Ildorom and Alireza Moradi in the match.
Persepolis sits fourth in the 2024-25 Iran Professional League (IPL) table with eight points out of four matches, while Esteghlal remains ninth with five points.
Out of 103 matches between the two teams, 50 have ended in draws so far, with Persepolis winning 27 and Esteghlal 26.
