Saipa Falls Short to Kuanysh in 2024 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Saipa lost to Kazakhstan’s Kuanysh 3-1 (24-26, 25-15, 25-18, 25-12) in the 2024 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship at the Chartchai Hall on Thursday.

Kuanysh VC relied on Sana Anarkulova and Yulia Dymar on attack, who posted match-high scores 24 points and 17 points respectively.

The Saipa Club had Aytak Salamat and Soudabeh Bagherpour delivering the points.

It was Saipa’s fourth loss in the competition. The Iranian side had previously lost to the Philippines’ Monolith Skyrisers, Japan’s NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki and Vietnam’s LPBank Ninh Binh.

All participating teams compete in the eight-day championship to vie for top honor and two slots on offer for the 2024 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship, due to be held in China from December 17 to 22.
