Iran Raps West’s Silence on Israeli Crimes
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Deploring the double standards adopted by the US and the European governments on human rights, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the silence of Westerners about the massacre of Muslims at the hands of the Israeli regime is tantamount to consent to those crimes.
In separate meetings on Monday, the Iranian president received the credentials of the new ambassadors of Germany, Denmark, Norway, Qatar, Sudan and Niger to Tehran.
In the meetings with the German, Danish and Norwegian envoys, Pezeshkian highlighted the history of friendly relations between Iran and the three countries, saying his administration is prepared to revive close relations and promote economic and trade cooperation with Europeans.
Denouncing the escalation of Israeli atrocities against Gaza and Lebanon, the Iranian president deplored the double standards of the US and European countries on human rights.
He said the silence of Western governments on the massacre of tens of thousands of innocent people at the hands of the Zionist regime is tantamount to approval of the Israeli crimes.
In another meeting with the ambassador of Qatar, Pezeshkian lauded Doha’s efforts at the establishment of peace in Gaza.
“If the Islamic governments had had unity and solidarity and had acted and protested against the Zionist regime’s crimes with a united voice, we would have not witnessed the commitment and rude continuation of the criminal measures of the (Israeli) regime,” he stated.
