Iranian, Turkish Top Bankers Stress Enhancing Bilateral Monetary, Banking Ties

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The governors of the central banks of Iran and Turkey stressed the need to enhance bilateral ties in the field of banking.

Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Mohammadreza Fazin and Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey Fatih Karahan held talks on the sidelines of the 6th meeting of the governors of the central banks of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)’s member states in Istanbul Monday.

They exchanged views on ways to increase economic and banking cooperation between the two countries.

They also discussed the latest state of economic growth and inflation in the OIC member countries and examined the dimensions of using new technologies in electronic banking, Mehr news agency reported.
