Iran, Armenia Ink Barter Trade Agreement


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Trade officials from Iran and Armenia signed a barter trade agreement in order to spur bilateral trade.

The head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance trade and economic activities via barter trade.

Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi emphasized that launching the mechanism of barter trade is one of the solutions to overcome sanctions.

According to Commercial Attache of the Iranian Embassy in Armenia Sepideh Akbarpour Tajrishi, as per the provisions of this memorandum of understanding, it has been decided that after 3 months, the two parties will introduce companies to each other as operators, and then these companies will determine the list of goods that can be exchanged and provide the grounds for the implementation of the MoU.
