Doha Hosting 19th ACD Summit with A Focus on AI, E-Commerce


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 19th edition of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) began in the Qatari capital of Doha on Wednesday with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI), electronic commerce (e-commerce) and joint ventures.

Deputy Head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Sadeq Qannadzadeh said that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will deliver a speech at the summit.

On the first day of the summit, a business meeting will be held between the economic ministers of the members of this summit, he said, adding that Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Atabak will deliver a speech in the meeting as well, IRIB reported.

The Asia Cooperation Dialogue Summit, known as ACD, consists of 35 Asian countries, which have been promoting "Intra-Asian" dialogue for more than 20 years with the aim of implementing various cooperation projects and programs in the economic and cultural fields.

The establishment of the ACD was first proposed by the prime minister of Thailand. The organization was established in 2002.
