FM Urges Employment of Iran’s Diplomatic Potential in Support of Lebanon
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stressed that all of diplomatic capacities of Iran must be unleashed to support Lebanon and other regional nations against the Israeli regime.
The top Iranian diplomat arrived in Beirut on Friday.
During a visit to the Iranian Embassy in Beirut, Araqchi was briefed on the latest developments in Lebanon following the Israeli assassination of Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah.
Paying tribute to Nasrallah, Iranian general Abbas Nilforoushan, and the other resistance forces who were martyred in an Israeli strike on September 27, Araqchi lauded the Iranian diplomats for their efforts in Beirut.
He also stressed the need to employ all diplomatic capacities of Iran to support Lebanon and the region against the Zionist regime’s aggressive and expansionist acts and wickedness.
Last week, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the brutal attacks by the “rabid Zionist dog” on Lebanon revealed the shortsightedness and stupid policies of Israeli officials, calling on all Muslims to unite behind Lebanese people and Hezbollah.
