Iran, Egypt Urge Diplomacy to End Israeli War on Gaza, Lebanon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Egypt stressed the need to ramp up diplomatic efforts to stop the Zionist regime’s onslaughts on Gaza and Lebanon.

In a telephone conversation on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty discussed the latest regional developments.

They underlined the need for increased diplomatic efforts to stop the Zionist regime's onslaught against Lebanon and Gaza and to send humanitarian aids to the displaced people.

Referring to his recent visit to Beirut, Araqchi said the Hezbollah resistance movement is in a good situation.

He added that the resistance is fully ready to confront a potential Israeli ground invasion of Lebanon.

Araqchi stressed that Iran does not seek tensions or war in the region nor does it fear war, adding that it will give a firm and proportional response to any action or adventurous move by Israel, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

The two sides agreed to continue their consultations over the regional developments.
