Israeli Forces Blamed for Mass Killings, Abductions in Northern Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Gaza government information office has exposed atrocities by Israeli forces in northern Gaza, reporting that civilians are being executed or arrested along routes claimed to be safe, with nearly 800 people killed and 200 kidnapped so far.
The government information office in Gaza revealed that Israeli forces have engaged in a systematic campaign of genocide in northern Gaza, as evidenced by field reports documenting killings and abductions.
Since the launch of the military offensive 20 days ago, over 770 people have been killed and more than 1,000 injured in and around the Jabalia refugee camp. Additionally, dozens remain missing, and more than 200 civilians, including women, have been kidnapped by Israeli forces.
According to the statement, over 100,000 injured or sick individuals in northern Gaza require urgent medical care, but Israeli forces have targeted all four hospitals in the area. No medical supplies or essential resources have been allowed to enter, exacerbating the crisis.
The office emphasized that Israeli forces are deliberately putting civilians—mostly women, children, and the elderly—at risk through bombings, setting fires to shelters, and imposing other life-threatening conditions. Witnesses have reported that when people attempted to evacuate along the routes declared safe by the army, some were executed, while others, including women, were taken into custody.
The office further reported that Israeli forces are deploying a wide range of prohibited weaponry while conducting airstrikes, heavy artillery, tanks, and precision missiles to carry out a deliberate campaign of genocide against the people of Gaza. These attacks, it said, are indiscriminate and designed to inflict maximum harm on civilians, worsening the humanitarian catastrophe.
Snipers have been deployed throughout northern Gaza, targeting civilians indiscriminately and blocking civil defense teams from recovering bodies or rescuing the wounded.
Gaza’s information office appealed to the international community to pressure Israel into opening humanitarian corridors and allowing the entry of medical supplies and food. It called for urgent global action to stop the atrocities.
The statement further held countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France responsible for supporting what it termed a genocidal war against Palestinians.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s civil defense office reported that its personnel have come under direct attack from Israeli forces. Following drone warnings instructing staff to abandon rescue vehicles and move to Sheikh Zayed—where civilians are besieged—several workers were bombed or detained.
Local sources also confirmed that shelters operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in the Abu Zaytun area of Jabalia have been destroyed by Israeli strikes.
Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, a senior official from Gaza’s health ministry, warned that the continuation of the Israeli assault would turn hospitals into mass graves.
“If these atrocities continue, hospitals will become burial grounds,” Al-Bursh said. “We don’t even have enough shrouds for the dead anymore. This is nothing short of a complete war crime.”
He added that over 1,000 medical personnel in Gaza have been killed since the start of the conflict, accusing Israel of deliberately targeting hospitals as part of a strategy to displace the population forcibly.
The blockade of essential supplies—food, water, and medicine—was described by Al-Bursh as a tactic aimed at forcing people to abandon northern Gaza. He called it a component of a military displacement plan orchestrated by Israeli officials.
