Hezbollah Orders Evacuation of 25 Northern Israeli Settlements

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hezbollah has called for the immediate evacuation of 25 Israeli settlements and towns in northern Israeli occupied Palestinian territories, amid the regime’s aggression on southern Lebanon and heavy fire exchanges with the resistance movement over the past year.

In a video released by Hezbollah’s Military Media and broadcast on Lebanon’s al-Manar television on Saturday, the group warned residents in the affected areas to leave without delay.

“You are requested to evacuate immediately,” the warning stated.

The message named settlements such as Kiryat Shmona, Nahariya, Rosh Pina, and Katzrin, among others. Hezbollah emphasized that these areas had become “bases and staging grounds for enemy military forces attacking Lebanon,” rendering them “legitimate military targets” for its air and missile units.

Following the warning, several municipal councils in northern Israel reportedly opted to keep schools closed, shifting education online in response to heightened security risks.

Hezbollah’s announcement on Friday detailed the resistance group's largest-ever single-day military action, with 48 coordinated attacks involving missiles and drones targeting Israeli military positions. This surpassed a previous record of 39 operations set earlier in the week.

The Lebanese resistance movement has escalated its operations in retaliation for recent assassinations of its leaders, demonstrating a growing military capability.

Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have surged since October 2023, when Hezbollah declared its involvement in a “support front” against Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza.

Lebanon has suffered significant casualties, with 2,483 people killed and 11,628 wounded amid Israel’s intensified attacks. Hezbollah has responded with frequent retaliatory strikes on targets within the occupied Palestinian territories.
