Imam Reza Shrine Responds to Crisis in Lebanon with Humanitarian Support

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine’s Karamat Razavi Foundation has launched several initiatives to support Lebanese pilgrims and refugees, following instructions from Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei to assist Lebanon in its resistance against Israel.

“After the Zionist regime launched brutal attacks on southern Lebanon, return flights for Lebanese pilgrims were canceled. As a result, Hojjatoleslam Ahmad Marvi, custodian of the Imam Reza shrine, ordered the immediate provision of various services to these pilgrims,” Mohammad Hossein Ostad Agha, manager of the foundation, said during a live interview on Iranian national TV.

“Currently, about 200 Lebanese pilgrims are being housed in a hostel affiliated with the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad,” Ostad Agha added. “These pilgrims consider themselves guests of the eighth Imam and wish to remain near the shrine for as long as necessary under the current circumstances.”

Ostad Agha also highlighted the shipment of aid to Lebanon, stating, “With the help of the shrine’s affiliates and benefactors, we have dispatched over 10 tons of medical supplies to hospitals in Beirut. In addition, Arabic-speaking physicians from Razavi Hospital will soon be deployed to Lebanese cities to assist on the ground.”

The foundation’s efforts extend beyond Lebanon, according to Ostad Agha. “We have also provided support to Lebanese refugees in Syria. In coordination with Ayatollah Khamenei’s representative in Syria, we set up a kitchen near the Hazrat Zeynab (SA) shrine to serve food, clothing, and other essentials to pilgrims and displaced people for three days upon their arrival.”

He noted that when Lebanese refugees learned the aid was coming from the Imam Reza shrine, they expressed deep affection and devotion toward the eighth Imam.

The foundation has also encouraged public donations to support Lebanon. “Since the start of the Israeli genocidal war, we have invited Muslims and compatriots to send monetary contributions to the Lebanese people through the shrine’s dedicated accounts,” Ostad Agha said, providing donation details.
