Iran’s Malekkhatabi Wins Silver at IBA Youth World Boxing Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Amir Reza Malekkhatabi of Iran lost to Uzbekistan’s Khalimjon Mamasoliev in the men’s 92kg final of the IBA Youth Men’s World Boxing Championships Sunday night.
Malekkhatabi lost the match 3:2.
Kyrgyzstan’s Tynstan Alybaev and Kazakhstan’s Rassul Assankhanov won the bronze medals.
Mehdi Kazemi in the men’s 51kg and Amir Esmaeili in the men’s +92kg claimed two bronze medals for Iran.
The 2024 IBA World Youth Boxing Championships brought 660 boxers together from 88 countries in Montenegro, surpassing the 2022 event which attracted 598 participants from 73 nations.
