Iraqi Airspace Closure to Enemies Discussed in Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A top Iraqi security official and the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps reviewed plans to ensure that the enemies of Iran will be prohibited from using the Arab country’s airspace.
Iraq’s National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji met with Commander of the IRGC Major General Hossein Salami in Tehran on Monday.
The two officials talked about a range of issues, including the relations between Tehran and Baghdad, details of a security agreement between the two countries, the significance of controlling the common border, and the prevention of enemies from using the airspace of Iraq.
In the gathering, the IRGC chief hailed the “brotherly” relations between Iran and Iraq.
He also praised the Kurdistan Regional Government’s support for carrying out the security agreement with Iran and the activities of a supreme committee observing the implementation of the deal.
