IAEA Chief Visits Iran’s Nuclear Sites

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi visited two uranium enrichment sites in Iran on Friday.

During his visit to Tehran, the UN nuclear chief held separate meetings with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami on Thursday.

On Friday, Grossi paid visits to two uranium enrichment sites in Fordow and Natanz.

Grossi was accompanied by Massimo Aparo, IAEA deputy director general and Head of the Department of Safeguards, AEOI Deputy Behrouz Kamalvandi, and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi.

In comments on Thursday, the UN nuclear chief said his visits to Fordow and Natanz nuclear sites would be very significant, because it will help him form a complete concept of development of Iran’s nuclear program.
