Zob Ahan Defeats Shams Azar: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Zob Ahan football team defeated Shams Azar 3-0 in the 2024-25 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Sunday.
In the match, held in Isfahan’s Fooladshahr Stadium, Majid Aliyari opened the scoring for Zob Ahan in the 26th minute from the penalty spot and Omid Latifi made it 2-0 with four minutes remaining to the break. Mohsen Azarbad scored the third goal in the 64th minute.
Zob Ahan moved up to seventh place with 13 points, eight points adrift of IPL leader Sepahan.
Shams Azar remained 12th with 10 points.
