Report of Robbery at Iran’s Damascus Embassy Denied
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Embassy in Syria denied rumors that millions of dollars in properties have been stolen from the diplomatic mission after it was raided by armed militants.
In a statement posted on its X account on Wednesday, the Iranian Embassy in Syria said there have been no properties and equipment at the embassy’s building in Damascus when it was stormed a few days ago.
The statement denied media reports that $42 million in cash had been stolen from the embassy.
The embassy stated that all arrangements had been accurately made before the evacuation of the building.
