Ivory Coast Launches Vaccination Campaign

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ivory Coast launched a national immunization campaign on Monday to vaccinate children against measles and polio.

The one-week campaign targets children up to 59 months who missed vaccinations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, said Health Ministry official Charles Koffi, according to Xinhua.

Vaccinations will take place across all 113 health districts in the country, the national news agency reported.

It added that the campaign also includes vitamin A supplementation to strengthen children's immunity.

From 2020 to 2023, Cote d'Ivoire conducted eight vaccination campaigns, vaccinating millions of children.
