President Unveils Plans to Reform Iran’s Educational System

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian voiced his administration’s determination to reform the country’s educational system and enhance its quality.

"The educational process must shift from teacher-centered to structured education and team work. Therefore, it is essential to structure the teaching and presentation of subjects by using modern technologies," the president said on Sunday during a visit to a high school in Tehran.

Pezeshkian also emphasized the necessity of enhancing educational equity across the country, noting that education must be well-structured, practical, and group-oriented in all schools, his official website reported.

The president further highlighted the importance of using diverse educational platforms based on community needs, and called on teachers to work on practical education in order to strengthen learning by students.

“The government is determined to reform the country's educational system. One of the measures to be taken is to place screens in every classroom so that teachers can present the educational content in a tangible and practical way to the students”, the president added.

He also noted that educational reforms are needed to encourage students to stay in their country and help build its future, adding that part of the changes in teaching methods should focus on training educators.

Pezeshkian virtually addressed students nationwide as well, saying “We are seeking to enhance the quality of education and its methods by using the capacities and capabilities available in universities, public schools, and charitable organizations. If you prepare yourself properly for the future of the country, we can transform our nation into an inspiring model in the region, in line with the vision set by the Leader.”
