Tractor Moves Top, Sepahan Held by Esteghlal: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tractor defeated Esteghlal Khuzestan 3-0 and moved top of the 2024-25 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Thursday.
Mehdi Shiri opened the scoring for the host in the 44th minute and Mohammad Nader (46th) and Tomislav Å trkalj (88th) were on target for Tractor.
In Tehran’s Shohada Shahr-e Qods Stadium, Esteghlal and Sepahan football teams shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
Masoud Juma scored for Esteghlal in 22nd minute but Mehdi Limouchi was on target for Sepahan in the 74th minute.
Sepahan captain Mohammad Karimi was shown a second yellow card in the 85th minute.
Furthermore, Mes beat Kheybar 2-1 in Khorramabad, Aluminum defeated Shams Azar 3-0 in Arak, Zob Ahan and Nassaji played out a goalless draw in Isfahan and Foolad defeated Malavan 2-1 in Ahvaz.
