Persepolis Defeats Havadar: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis defeated struggling Havadar 5-0 on Matchweek 15 of the 2024-25 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Wednesday.
Ali Alipour completed a hat-trick in this match and Issa Aleksaeir and Oston Urunov were also on target.
Alipour opened the scoring for Persepolis in the 17th minute and made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute. Alekasir scored Persepolis’s third goal in the 67th minute and Alipour found the back of the net one more time in the 79th minute. With five minutes remaining, Urunov scored his team’s fifth goal.
Persepolis remained third with 29 points, two points behind Sepahan.
Earlier in the day, Gol Gohar defeated Chadormalou 2-0 in Sirjan.
Sepahan will play Esteghlal on Thursday.
