Iran Condemns Fatal Attack on Bus in Pakistan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned a suicide bomb attack on a Pakistani military convoy that killed and injured dozens of people in the province of Balochistan.
In a statement on Sunday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei condemned the suicide attack near Pakistan’s Turbat.
Offering his condolences to the Pakistani people, government, and families of the victims, he stressed the need to strengthen efforts to prevent and combat terrorism.
At least six people, including Pakistani paramilitary troops, were killed and scores injured on Saturday in a bombing claimed by separatists in Balochistan.
The bus carrying paramilitary troops of the Frontier Corps (FC) was travelling from the port city of Karachi to southwestern Turbat city when it was targeted around seven kilometers west of the city.
More than 25 were injured in the incident.
