Nazari Juybari Appointed Esteghlal General Manager
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ali Nazari Juybari was appointed as new general manager of Iran’s Esteghlal football club on Wednesday.
He replaced Farshid Samiei in the Tehran-based football club.
Nazari Juybari has previously worked in Esteghlal as an executive director.
He was also acting president of the Esteghlal from May to June 2010.
The Blues sit 10th in the Iran Professional League (IPL) 16-team table and the change has been made with the aim of helping them.
Esteghlal is the oldest Iranian professional football club based in Tehran that competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League.
The club was founded in 1945 as 'The Cyclists' and it is the first team to reach 1,000 points in the Persian Gulf Pro League.
