Top Commander Warns against Any Threat to Iran’s Security

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri stressed the readiness of the Armed Forces to confront hostile acts, warning the enemies that any threat to the country’s security would have dire consequences.

“Our Armed Forces are at the peak of their readiness,” Iran’s top military commander said on Wednesday, warning that any threat to Iran’s security would have dire consequences for the Israeli regime and those potentially supporting its likely further acts of military aggression against the Islamic Republic.

“If the enemy makes any mistake, the Zionist regime’s peace and that of those involved in its arming and operational planning will be at risk,” he added, speaking on the sidelines of the final phase of the “Payambar-e Azam (The Great Prophet) 19” military drills by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)’s Ground Forces.

Baqeri stressed that Iran's air defense system was in top form, with any minor damage that had been afflicted to it in the past, swiftly repaired.

“Iran's military forces are fully prepared for offensive operations, and missile production is progressing at high volume and quality without interruption,” the commander noted.

Baqeri also highlighted Iran’s advancements in drone technology, saying, “We have made extensive plans for deployment of microdrones and loitering drones in various military units,” he said, according to Press TV.

“Mass deployment of these UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) in both the IRGC Ground Forces and the Army is underway, and we will continue to equip other units based on operational needs.”

The commander’s comments came against the backdrop of Iran’s escalating deterrence strategy against the Israeli regime and its supporters.

Last year, the Islamic Republic demonstrated its military might with Operation True Promise I and II, retaliatory strikes launched in response to Israeli aggression.

The operations, carried out using hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones, showcased Iran's ability to strike Israeli military and intelligence targets with surgical accuracy.

Baqeri’s remarks also followed a high-ranking IRGC commander’s announcing that a third retaliatory military operation against the Israeli regime would be carried out “soon.”

Iran “must be ready for war, so that there is no war,” Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Corps’ Aerospace Division, said on Tuesday.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Baqeri condemned the United States continued military and logistical support for the Israeli regime, particularly in light of the latter’s ongoing aggression against Palestinians.

“The criminal American support for the usurping, child-killing Zionist regime is nothing new,” he stated, adding, “The hypocrisy and deceit of the United States in arming Israel for genocide in the Gaza Strip have further exposed its sinister nature.”
