Tractor Returns to Top of IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Tractor football team defeated Kheybar 1-0 Saturday and reclaimed the top of the 2024-25 Iran Professional League (IPL).
In the match, held at the Yadegar-e Emam Stadium in Tabriz, Domagoj Drozdek scored the winner one minute into the second half.
Persepolis was held to a 1-1 draw against Aluminum in Arak. Aref Haji Eydi scored for Aluminum in the 67th minute and Ali Alipour canceled out the goal in the 88th minute.
Furthermore, Esteghlal edged past struggling Nassaji 1-0 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium. Alireza Koshki found the back of the net with a header in the 56th minute. Nassaji’s Sudanese forward Mohamed Eisa missed a penalty in the 51st minute.
Tractor leads the table with 44 points, one point above Sepahan.
