Kremlin Does Not Consider US A Friendly Nation
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The religious views of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio do not make the United States a friendly country of shared values for Russia, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
Earlier, Rubio appeared on television with an ash-marked cross on his forehead, symbolizing the beginning of Lent.
"No, the United States is not a country that is friendly to us at this point. However, we are currently working to revive and restore bilateral relations," Peskov stated, TASS reported.
"As for a person’s religion, it is their personal right," the spokesman remarked, answering questions from the press.
