Tractor Edges Gol Gohar to Move Back on Top: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Tractor football team came from a goal down to beat Gol Gohar 2-1 Sunday night to return to the top of the 2024-25 Iran Professional League (IPL).
Alireza Kazemi scored for Gol Gohar in the third minute of the match, held in Tabriz’s Yadegar Stadium but Abolfazl Razaghpour scored an own goal in the 24th minute.
Mehdi Hashemnejhad scored the winner for Tractor in the 51st minute to seal three vital points for the Reds.
Earlier in the day, Zob Ahan was held to a 1-1 draw against Esteghlal in Isfahan’s Fooladshahr Stadium.
Mohsen Azarbad scored for Zob Ahan in the 47th minute and Ramin Rezaeian leveled the score in the 84th minute.
Tractor returned top with 48 points, one point above Persepolis and one game in hand.
