Steel Red to Meet Bam at 2024-25 AFC Women's Champions League

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hyundai Steel Red Angels Women's FC will expect to make home ground advantage count when it meets Bam Khatoon in its AFC Women's Champions League 2024-25 quarter-final on Saturday.

The single leg affair will be a meeting between two highly experienced teams with both confident of laying their hands on the coveted trophy.

Korea Republic's Red Angels will consider itself as the favourite, having serenely advanced to the knockout stage as the Group A winner with seven points.

It will, however, has to chart its course without Tereza Obunyu Engesh - who scored five goals enroute to Red Angels making the quarter-finals - as the Kenyan forward has signed for China PR's Wuhan Jiangda Women's FC.

Iran’s Bam will be equally confident of its chances after navigating through the preliminary and group stages to take its place in the quarter-finals.

It topped Group D of the preliminary stage with two wins and finished second behind Melbourne City in the group stage and will face Red Angels with a settled squad with just two additions.

The match will be held at the Namdong Asiad Rugby Stadium in Incheon.
