Minister Reiterates Iran’s Influential Role in Region

“Iranian nation has such a level of influence that no development in the region can be studied and assessed without (considering) Iran's participation and its role,” Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said in a police force conference.

He said that by the grace of God, and thanks to the wise guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Iran will emerge victorious in the region and in the world despite the most complicated plots and most coordinated hostilities against the country.

The minister further said the western media are trying to introduce a negative image of Iran in the world.

In similar remarks in October, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said Iran has made great progress despite all the odds, much to the chagrin of the US and other western governments that have made every effort to stymie the development of the country.

Deputy Commander of IRGC Quds Force Brigadier General Esmail Qa’ani hailed the achievements of the country and its military forces, saying Iran has acquired such astonishing capabilities in various fields that even the US cannot impede its path to further progress.

"The US was once a superpower, but it is unable to do anything against our Islamic revolution and Islamic system," he said, ascribing this to the strong support base of the Islamic Revolution.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on August 7 praised Iran's eye-catching progress in scientific fields, saying that the growth was much greater than the world's average.

Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the reliable international scientific studies, and stated that "Iran’s scientific growth during the past 12 years grew 16 times more than before and Iran’s scientific growth is 13 times greater than the world's average rate.”

The Leader also denounced some western states for their attempts to hinder Iran’s scientific progress by imposing illegal sanctions against the country.
