Speaker: Iran Ready to Provide Tajikistan with Technical Expertise
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian parliament speaker in a meeting with the Tajik foreign minister expressed the Iranian companies’ willingness to provide the Central Asian country with the engineering and technical expertise.
In a Sunday meeting with the visiting Tajik Foreign Minister, Sirojidin Aslov, in Tehran, Ali Larijani said the Iranian companies are eager to make their presence felt in Tajikistan and transfer their technical know-how to that country.
“Resolving a number of minor problems could accelerate the trend of constructive and effective presence of the Iranian companies in Tajikistan, and could considerably contribute to the development and progress in that country (Tajikistan),” Larijani stressed.
Aslov, for his part, hailed Iran’s “significant role and position” in Tajikistan’s foreign policy, saying Dushanbe is after benefitting from Tehran’s experience and capabilities in the economic, industrial and engineering fields.
Earlier in the day, the Tajik foreign minister held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran.
In that meeting, Zarif said the Islamic Republic is prepared to strengthen brotherly bonds with Tajikistan, adding that Tehran and Dushanbe can bolster relations without any limitation.
“There is no ceiling on the expansion of cooperation between the two countries,” Mohammad Javad Zarif said of the bilateral ties between Iran and Tajikistan.
