Hamas Vows to Continue Firing Retaliatory Rockets into Israel
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said rocket fire from the Gaza Strip into Israel will continue to counter the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
He also emphasized that if the attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip continues, the Resistance Movement will keep all options open to respond to Israeli aggression against the Palestinians’ territory.
He described the Israeli onslaught on Gaza as a “sheer folly,” reiterating that what the Resistance Movement has done so far has been aimed at defending the Palestinians.
Since Tuesday, more than 120 Palestinians have lost their lives in a series of Israeli air attacks targeting different parts of the besieged Gaza Strip.
On Friday, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his administration would not stop its attacks on Gaza, reiterating that no international pressure would prevent it from attacking Gaza.
Palestinian resistance movements in Gaza have already been responding to Israel’s aggression by targeting Israeli sites deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Israeli forces frequently bomb the Gaza Strip and they claim the actions are being conducted for defensive purposes. However, disproportionate force is always used in violation of international law and civilians are often killed or injured.
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed due to Israeli aggression over the past few years.
Some 1.7 million people in Gaza are deprived of their basic rights, such as freedom of movement, jobs that pay proper wages, and adequate healthcare and education.
