Tel Aviv Using Illegal Weapons against People of Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Zionist regime of Israel has used internationally-proscribed weapons in its air strikes on the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian Health Ministry spokesman said.
Ashraf al-Qodra told the Tasnim News Agency in Gaza that "the incinerated bodies of martyrs indicate the use of illegal rockets" by the Tel Aviv regime.
In the past few days, more than 100 Palestinians lost their lives in a series of Israeli air attacks targeting different parts of the besieged Gaza Strip, including the city of Khan Yunis and the Nusseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Al-Qodra said 20 children and 6 elderly Palestinians were among those killed in the Zionist aggressions.
He had earlier told Anadolu Agency that a preliminary survey of victims' bodies revealed the horrific nature of the weapons being used in Israel's ongoing onslaught on Gaza.
“Israel used internationally-banned weapons in its two previous wars on Gaza,” al-Qodra stated, adding “The same weapons are being used now.”
He called on international rights organizations to bring Israel to account for its continual violations against the Palestinian people.
Some activists posted photos of the Palestinian victims online, advising the fainthearted not to look at them.
Photos showed Palestinians whose limbs had been blown off and others whose bodies looked as if they had been subject to chemical attack.
In the 2008-2009 Gaza War, Israel used white phosphorus and weapons containing carcinogenic agents against Palestinians.
In March 2009, Human Rights Watch in a 71-page report on Gaza War said Israel's military had fired white phosphorus over crowded areas of Gaza repeatedly and indiscriminately in its three-week war, killing and injuring civilians and committing war crimes.
