Iranian President Congratulates Senegal on National Day
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday congratulated the Senegalese people and government on the occasion of the country's National Day.
In a message to his Senegalese counterpart Macky Sall, President Rouhani expressed the hope that relations between Tehran and Dakar will develop and deepen at all bilateral and international levels.
He also wished good health and success to the Senegalese president and prosperity for the people and government of the West African country.
Senegal was controlled by various European powers until mid-20th century. It gained independence from France on April 4, 1960.
