8 Killed in Yemen in Fresh Saudi Airstrikes

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Eight people have been killed in fresh Saudi Arabian airstrikes on residential areas in Yemen’s northwestern Sa'ada province.

All of the victims from the Saudi attack on the small town of Dammaj were women and children, al-Masirah TV reported on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, at least 14 people were killed in another series of attacks on Sa’ada as a residential building and a local council was targeted by Saudi jets.

Several raids were also carried out in the southwestern provinces of Dhamar and Lahij and on the International Airport of the southern port city of Aden.

Saudi Arabia started it relentless military onslaught on its impoverished neighbor Yemen on March 26 without even a United Nations mandate, Press TV reported.

According to the UN over 2,300 people have lost their lives to the conflict in Yemen so far, however the death toll released by local authorities puts it much higher at about 4,300.
