Iranian Economic Delegation Due in US This Fall: Official
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Head of Iran World Trade Center Mohammad Reza Sabzalipour announced that the country plans to send a delegation of economic activists to the US this fall.
"The dispatch of Iranian economic missions to US and vice versa has been on the agenda of the center since the past," Sabzalipour said, adding that over the past years some reciprocal visits have been made by the two countries' economic delegations.
"In the coming days, a public invitation will be announced regarding the conditions for the presence of economic activists in the delegation," he said.
The official further ruled out any connection between the planned visit to the US and the outcome of Iran's nuclear negotiations with six world powers, saying that whether an agreement is reached or not, the outcome will not be an obstacle to the center's plans.
The remarks came before Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) concluded more than two weeks of talks over Tehran's nuclear program in Vienna on Tuesday in a final round a senior Iranian lawmaker described as "successful".
The negotiating parties reached a conclusion over the text of a comprehensive deal on Tehran's nuclear program after 22 months of diplomatic negotiations.
