Iran’s FM, Pakistani Speaker Stress Closer Parliamentary Ties
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Moahmmad Javad Zarif and Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq explored avenues for boosting ties between two neighboring countries’ legislative bodies.
In a meeting held in Islamabad on Thursday, the Iranian minister said that Tehran welcomes deepening parliamentary ties with Pakistan.
He also briefed Sadiq on his talks with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as well as negotiation with his Pakistani counterpart Sartaj Aziz.
The Iranian foreign minister also called his meetings in Pakistan “constructive and useful”.
Sadiq, for his part, said that parliaments of Iran and Pakistan supports bilateral ties between the two countries in all fields.
Referring to the conclusion of nuclear talks between Iran and six world powers, the Pakistani speaker felicitated Iran's diplomatic success in nuclear.
