Iran Advances to AFC Women’s Futsal Championship Final
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian national futsal team booked a place at the AFC Women’s Futsal Championship final after beating Thailand on Friday.
Iran defeated Thailand 1-0 at the Nilai Indoor Stadium in Nilai, Malaysia.
Substitute Zohreh Meisami proved the difference for Iran as she scored her first goal of the campaign in the second half following a thrilling first period.
Iran has already defeated Hong Kong (6-0), Uzbekistan (9-1) and Malaysia (4-2) in the group stage.
Team Melli will play the winner of Japan and Malaysia in the final match which has been scheduled for Saturday.
