Iran Beats China at IWBF Asia-Oceania Championship Quarters
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated China 82-74 in the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Asia-Oceania Championship quarter-final on Thursday.
Iran’s Morteza Ebrahimi scored 42 points in the match held at Chiba, Japan.
Lin Yinhai led China with 26 points.
Iran will play South Korea in the semi-final.
Iran has defeated Malaysia, the Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Saudi Arabia and China so far and lost to Australia.
The Championship is underway at the Chiba Port Arena, Japan, from October 7 to 18.
There are twelves men’s teams competing for three spots and three women’s teams competing for one spot to Rio 2016.
